A massive fire broke out in multiple flats of Baharia Town in Rawalpindi on Saturday.According to details, the flats were located in Phase 7 of Baharia Town, Rawalpindi. Two people were struck inside the building due to thick smoke and fire, and were later safely evacuated.Soon after receiving the report, Rescue 1122 teams comprising 20 personnel and 7 emergency vehicles rushed to the spot and started the rescue operation.
Firefighters managed to bring the blaze under control in time, and the cooling process is still underway.No loss of life and property was reported from the site of the incident. Earlier on January 15, 2026, four young girls sustained serious burn injuries in a house fire in Rawalpindi’s Niazi Town area.Rescue 1122 said the fire broke out in a residential building, leaving the girls in critical condition.
They were shifted to the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital for emergency treatment. The injured were identified as three-year-old Sukaina, four-year-old Ayat, five-year-old Tabeer, and seven-year-old Fariha. According to the house owner, the children were living with their mother on the upper portion of the building. He said a heater had been switched on in the room and the children were left unattended.
