A cardboard factory caught fire late night on Friday in Shujabad, a town located 45 kilometres (km) from Multan in Punjab. According to the rescue officials present on the scene, the blaze initially engulfed the factory before spreading to nearby warehouses. Rescue teams along with firefighters are trying to put extinguish the flames and prevent them from spreading further. The cause of the fire is not yet known. Buildings on fire across Karachi Buildings caught fire in various locations across Karachi late on Friday. A fire erupted on the third floor of a building near Shah Faisal Colony Bridge.
Firefighters were quick to respond to the situation and the fire was brought under control by fire brigade officials. Similarly, shops near Dawood Chowrangi in Landhi Town were engulfed in flames. Several shops including a bakery were affected by the fire. It took over four fire tenders from the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) to put out the flames. The fire cost significant damage and financial loss to the owners. However, exact scale of damage is under investigation.
