Sugarcane crop spanning on eight-acre area in Khanpur’s village Chak 60-P caught fire on Saturday.  The fire tender team of Rescue reached the site after getting information and extinguished the blaze. However, crop worth rupees tens of thousands of a farmer burnt to ashes.  The reason of the fire eruption has not been ascertained as yet.
