At least 300 shops were gutted when fire broke out in Lunda Bazaar near Sheranwala Bagh in Gujranwala. The reason behind the eruption of the fire is yet to be ascertained. Eight fire tenders of Rescue 1122 managed to extinguish the fire after two hours hectic efforts. The cloth and other commodities were reduced to ashes in the intense blaze. However, Rescue officials said the fire at Landa Bazar has been brought under control, and the cooling process was underway. According to the sources, more than 300 clothes stalls caught fire and 8 vehicles of rescue 1122 took part in the process of extinguishing the fire, which was brought under control after two hours of effort. Due to heavy smoke and narrow space, it was difficult to put out the fire, but now the cooling process is going on in the affected area.
