December 01, 2022

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Thursday initiated work on the complaint filed for a legal action against Pakistan Tehreek- e-Insaf (PTI) leader Ali Amin Gandapur on his hateful tweet about ex-army chief Qamar Javed Bajwa. A citizen had filed a complaint to the FIA to take a legal action against Ali Amin Gandapur over his ‘hateful’ and ‘poisonous’ tweet against the ex-army chief Qamar Javed Bajwa. The text of the complaint read that PTI leader Ali Amin Gandapur had incited public’s hatred against the army by tweeting against the military command which was a violation of the FIA Cyber Crime Act.

“Ali Amin Gandapur tweeted ‘Who was he? He was Mir Jaffer Bajwa’. By uploading such a hateful tweet, he not only dared question the loyalty of the Pakistan’s army chief with the homeland but also hatched a dangerous ploy to incite people against their defence institutions,” it added. “It will be a weakness [on the part of security institutions] to ignore it,” it stated. “Ali Amin Gandapur should be brought to justice for spreading incitement against the military command so that no one can do such a thing in the future,” it demanded.
