The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Immigration wing arrested a passenger leaving for abroad at Jinnah International Airport Karachi after authority found 47 visas stored in his mobile device including those for Cyprus, allegedly intended for Pakistani and Bangladeshi nationals. According to FIA, suspect Aliyan Zaman hailing from Attock and en route to Malaysia on a visit visa, had planned to travel from Malaysia to the United Kingdom with the help of an agent. Officials said that the accused had to pay a total of Rs 2.8 million to the resident agent of Attock, he had already paid Rs 4 lakh to the agent and the said amount was sent through cash and microfinance accounts. The accused was held as he could not satisfy the immigration officials regarding the exported visas and was transferred to the FIA’s Anti-Human Trafficking Circle (AHTC) in Karachi for further investigation.
