Responding to mounting complaints regarding prolonged delays in passport issuance, Federal Ombudsman Ejaz Ahmed Qureshi has sprung into action, dispatching inspection teams to various district headquarters and passport offices across major cities, including Islamabad on Friday. According to authorities, these visits aim to address grievances directly by engaging with passport administration officials and affected citizens on-site, seeking viable solutions. The Federal Ombudsman's office has been inundated with complaints, particularly from overseas Pakistanis, citing significant challenges in acquiring visas and securing employment opportunities due to the delays in passport issuance. Expressing discontent over the persistent delays and administrative lapses, Ejaz Ahmed Qureshi deemed the situation intolerable. Highlighting the enduring nature of the problem, he underscored the dire consequences faced by Pakistanis intending to travel abroad, emphasizing the urgency of rectifying the issue.
