Farmers instructed to complete gram cultivation by November 15Breaking

Farmers of Faisalabad, Jhang, Sahiwal, Multan, and Bahawalpur have been advised to complete gram cultivation by November 15. According to media reports, Deputy Director of Agriculture Extension Department, Faisalabad, Khalid Mahmood said that the farmers should ensure timely cultivation of gram by using modern production technology of gram so that a good crop can be obtained. He warned that late cultivation can result in reduced crop growth and yield. Mahmood said that in the irrigated areas of Punjab, including Faisalabad, Sahiwal, Multan, Bahawalnagar, Bahawalpur, and other districts of central and southern Punjab, as well as in the rainfed and irrigated areas of Thal, Bhakkar, Khushab, Mianwali, Jhang, Jhelum, and Rawalpindi, gram cultivation should be completed by November 15.

In the districts of Gujarat and Narowal, gram cultivation can be completed by November 10, while in Attock and Chakwal districts, it can be completed by November 1. Mahmood said that among the developed varieties of chickpeas, indigenous varieties such as Bital 98, Thal 2006, Punjab 2008, Bilksar 2000, Vanhar 2000, Bhakkar 2011, CM 2008, Noor 91, Noor 2009, Noor 2013, and Tuman 2013 can be ensured. He urged farmers to follow the instructions of the Agriculture Department to ensure a good gram crop.
