A devastating fire that erupted at the Allah Tawakal Factory in village 58 Lahlan near Sargodha Road on Narwala Bypass, Faisalabad, has been brought under control. According to rescue sources, firefighting teams are currently engaged in cooling operations to prevent the blaze from reigniting. The factory, which was spread over an area of four canals, suffered extensive damage, with a large portion destroyed by the fire.
The tragic incident claimed the lives of two factory workers. Their bodies were recovered by rescue workers and later identified as Jamil Ashraf and Asghar Ali, both residents of Chak No. 172, District Layyah. Officials said that around 40 people were working in the factory at the time of the incident. While 37 workers managed to escape safely, three became trapped inside the building.
The bodies of two of the trapped workers have been recovered, while search operations are still underway to locate the third worker, identified as Adnan. Rescue sources stated that old clothes and talkies stored in the factory caught fire, allegedly due to a fault in a cotton-making machine. Authorities are continuing investigations to determine the exact cause of the fire. Further updates are expected as rescue teams continue their search and cooling efforts at the site.
