Extreme cold grips country’s north as Met Office predicts rain, snowBreaking

Northern parts of the country are currently in the grip of bitterly cold weather, while on the other hand, the Met Office has forecast two spells of rain and snowfall for Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), upper KP and Gilgit-Baltistan. Drizzle is expected in Rawalpindi, Islamabad and Peshawar, while rain and snowfall have been predicted for Mansehra, Abbottabad, Galyat and Murree from today until December 15.

The weather will remain party cloudy in Bajaur, Mohmand, Khyber, Orakzai, Kurram and Waziristan on December 14 and December 15. On December 19, another rain-producing system will enter the country. Under the impact of the system, there will be drizzle in Rawalpindi and Islamabad, while rain and snow in the northern areas of the country.
