The Punjab Anti-Corruption Establishment registered a case against the former principal secretary of ex-chief minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi on corruption charges on Monday. Accused Muhammad Khan Bhatti, the ex-principal secretary of former Punjab CM Elahi, could move to the anti-corruption court for his interim bail. A large contingent of police was deployed outside the court to arrest Bhatti. The former PSCM was accused of accepting bribe worth millions of rupees during Elahi’s tenure.
