Jailed Member of Parliament from Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir and Awami Itihaad Party (AIP) founder Engineer Rashid has announced a two-day hunger strike in Tihar Jail from today.  According to Kashmir Media Service, AIP Chief Spokesperson Inam Un Nabi said, Rashid formally notified the Tihar Jail authorities of his decision to observe the symbolic hunger strike in Jail No. 1. The AIP highlighted Rashid’s call to all stakeholders to give peace a genuine chance, reiterating that violence has no place in a civilized society.
