Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Tuesday issued a notification of the victory of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) candidate Bilal Chaudhry in NA-96 by-election in Faisalabad.The Election Commission of Pakistan had earlier with held the notification due to violation of the Code of Conduct by the PML-N candidate during the by-election campaign. 

Earlier, Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Sikandar Sultan Raja said that the victory notification of Bilal Chaudhry, brother of Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry, would be issued today. A five-member bench, headed by the CEC, heard the case of breach of code of conduct during a by-election in NA-185.

Both Talal and Bilal appeared before the bench in person. Talal apologized to the bench for not showing up at the last hearing. Talal submitted his reply in the case to the election commission. The commission then exempted both brothers from appearance at the next hearing.
