Sharifullah has been appointed as the new election commissioner of Punjab. He has officially assumed charge at the Punjab Election Commission office in Lahore, says in media reports.  Sharifullah has previously served as the election commissioner of Sindh and Punjab and has held several important positions, including roles at the Election Commission Secretariat in Islamabad. Upon his arrival, he was warmly welcomed by the officers and staff of the Punjab Election Commission.
