The leader of the Grand Democratic Alliance, Saira Bano, said that it is too early to say with certainty whether the elections will be held. While talking to a private TV channel, she said that many things will come to light in November, including the possibility of an economic emergency being declared after November 15.

She also criticized the caretaker chief minister of Punjab for allowing "everything to happen" under his nose. She said that there is a clear indication that the National League is being given an unfair advantage in the elections.GDA leaders said that Nawaz Sharif has no formula to solve the country's problems and that his return to Pakistan has only made things worse. They said that

Sharif should surrender to the court on his return and follow the law. On the other hand, Pakistan Muslim League-N leader Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said that the party is misleading Nawaz Sharif about the legal situation. She said that Sharif will have to surrender to the court on his return and that the only legal way for him to get relief is to file an appeal in the Supreme Court.
