A mild earthquake measuring 3.1 on the Richter scale struck Qilla Saifullah and the surrounding areas of Balochistan province in the early hours of Wednesday, causing brief panic among residents. No casualties or damage to property were reported from any area of Qilla Saifullah, a private news channel reported. According to the National Seismic Monitoring Centre in Islamabad, the earthquake’s epicenter was located about 100 kilometres northeast of Muslim Bagh at a depth of 16 kilometres.
