In a heartwarming and significant event held at the prestigious Jinnah Institute, Rawalpindi, the Dua Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing free education to exceptionally talented orphans, took a giant stride towards realizing its mission. The event witnessed the presentation of scholarship certificates to orphaned students, enabling them to pursue their studies in various fields, thus igniting the flame of hope and knowledge in their lives. The event was graced by distinguished personalities, with Zamurd Khan, the patron-in-chief of Sweet Homes, and Rahat Quddusi, the Chief Operating Officer of Jinnah Institute of Rawalpindi Law College, serving as the esteemed chief guests.
Their presence underscored the significance of the occasion and highlighted the collaborative efforts needed to uplift the less fortunate in society. Expressing his admiration for the event and its organizers, Zamurd Khan emphasized the crucial importance of such initiatives in a country like Pakistan, where access to education is considered the birthright of every individual. He passionately articulated, "I truly believe that orphans should not be neglected in this race for education. These students, I am confident, will shine brightly in the future, bringing honor and glory to Pakistan through their remarkable achievements."
Mr. Dawood, owner of Dua Foundation, shared the organization's journey and objectives. He noted that Dua Foundation initially began its noble work in collaboration with Faizul Islam in 2012, providing scholarships to its students. However, five years ago, the foundation expanded its horizons by embracing students from diverse backgrounds and fields. The primary focus was to address a critical gap: many orphanage institutions offer scholarships only up to the matriculation level. Dua Foundation's mission is to provide unwavering support to orphaned students in their pursuit of higher education. From humble beginnings with four students, Dua Foundation has now grown to support 30 students, all of whom receive free education.
The foundation directly pays the educational fees of its beneficiaries to the institutes they attend, ensuring transparency and efficiency in its operations. However, what sets Dua Foundation apart is its exceptional mentors, who serve as elder siblings to the students. The organization boasts a cadre of professors and scholars from various esteemed institutions, including Sargodha PAF College and Punjab University, who voluntarily dedicate their time and expertise to mentor and guide these bright young minds. As a testament to the outstanding performance of its students, Dua Foundation is extending its education funding program to cover graduation-level studies.
The organization's first student to benefit from this expansion is already on their journey toward higher education, with plans to further widen its reach in the future. The Dua Foundation's relentless commitment to fostering education and nurturing the talents of orphaned students is indeed a beacon of hope and promise for a brighter future. This noble endeavor exemplifies the power of collective compassion and dedication toward shaping a better tomorrow.
