Leader of the Opposition in Senate, Senator Dr. Shahzad Wasim has expressed profound condolence over the loss of lives and properties due to disastrous floods in Libya. In a condolence statement on Wednesday, he remarked that people and government of Pakistan stand firmly in solidarity with their Libyan brothers and sisters and wish protection for all affectees of the natural calamity. Senator Dr. Shahzad Wasim also prayed for the families of those who have tragically lost their lives in the floods and those facing the arduous task of rebuilding their lives in the aftermath of this disaster. Highlighting the global environmental challenges, he emphasized the need for international cooperation to combat climate change. The Opposition Leader in Senate extended his prayers for the elevated status of those who have lost their lives and for the swift recovery of the injured.
