Doctors in the Kashmir valley have expressed their disappointment over the Delhi-run National Board of Examinations (NBE) once again failing to allot a National Eligibility Entrance Test for Super Speciality Courses (NEET-SS) centre in Srinagar, Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, this year. According to Kashmir Media Service, as a result, over a thousand doctors aspiring to pursue super-speciality courses will have to travel to Jammu next month to sit for the examination. This is not the first time Kashmir has been denied a NEET-SS centre, the doctors said and said that this situation has persisted since 2022, forcing candidates to travel to Jammu or other cities to take the exam. They view it as a conspiracy against the aspirants hailing particularly from the Kashmir valley.
