Dr. Mushtaq Bashir Akif, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Health Authority Sargodha, has announced the deployment of doctors, paramedics, and lady health supervisors to provide medical assistance during Muharram-ul-Haram days. Their duties will cover all majalis (religious gatherings) and mourning processions across the district. In a statement to the media, Dr. Mushtaq emphasized that all hospitals in the city have been put on high alert to handle any potential emergencies. The authorities have reserved beds in both government and private hospitals exclusively for use during the Ashura days. Additionally, blood banks have been instructed to maintain a sufficient supply of extra blood bags. To ensure efficient coordination, a 24-hour operational control room has been established at the district health office. This step aims to provide timely assistance and support during the observance of the sacred period.
