A 52-year-old woman was gang-raped in front of her husband by dacoits during a house robbery in Dipalpur on Wednesday. Okara District Police Officer (DPO) Mansoor Aman reached the house of the victims after being informed about the shocking incident. Younis, a labourer, was in the house with his wife Muntaj when three dacoits barged into the house. They held the couple hostage and looted Rs2,000 and a cell phone. One of the dacoits kept his gun pointed at the labourer while the other two raped his wife. Thereafter, the accused escaped the scene. The police registered a case of house robbery and rape and launched a search for the arrest of the accused.
