April 14, 2026

A delegation of allottees of the Green Enclave-1 housing project of the Federal Government Employees Housing Authority (FGEHA), led by Chaudhry Amjad Ali, met Federal Minister for Housing and Works Mian Riaz Hussain Pirzada on Tuesday to apprise him of the prolonged delay in the project’s development. During the meeting, the delegation highlighted what they described as unnecessary delays and presented a detailed account of issues surrounding the project, which has remained pending for over 17 years.

The allottees pointed out that despite making full payments, they are still awaiting possession of their plots. The minister assured the delegation that development work on Green Enclave-1 would commence soon and expressed regret over the delay. He informed them that the Secretary Housing, Capt. (Rtd.) Muhammad Mahmood, is personally overseeing the project and is keen to initiate development activities at the earliest.

Chaudhry Amjad Ali, representing the allottees, reiterated concerns regarding administrative issues within FGEHA and urged the minister to ensure the completion of the long-delayed scheme. Mian Riaz Hussain Pirzada further stated that he would personally visit the project site in the coming days to review progress and assess the situation. The allottees urged the authorities to ensure transparent planning and timely execution so that families waiting for more than 17 years can finally begin construction of their homes.
