At least 158 more dengue cases have been surfaced in Lahore during the last 24 hours on Wednesday. The dengue situation in Lahore is really bad as more than 231 dengue patients are receiving treatment in the hospitals. Similarly, about 3,310 cases of dengue have been reported in the city so far this year. Moreover, the authorities recovered and destroyed larvae from 1,557 locations of Lahore. Dengue situation in Islamabad During the last 24 hours, 93 more people suffering from dengue were hospitalized in Capital Territory, meanwhile the total of season’s tally has gone to 2,679. As per stats provided by District Health Office Islamabad, out 93 cases, 47 cases were recorded from rural areas alone meanwhile dengue cases from urban locality saw an uptick and reached to 46. The death toll, so far, is 6 due to this infection. There were 22 patients brought in PIMS hospital and 6 were reported in Polyclinic Hospital. On the other hand, the twin city’s hospital Holy Family admitted 6 patients in a day. Private laboratories have also diagnosed 50 patients of dengue. The District Health Officer has appealed to the citizens to take all preventive measure in order to eliminate dengue.
