The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) has arrested four suspects in its combing and search operations across Punjab. CTD officials, Police on the direction of Inspector General Police (IGP) Punjab Usman Anwar conducted 45 combing and search operations in different districts of Punjab under and 2114 suspects were interrogated during the operations.The official said that 530 people were biometrically verified during the operation, 4 suspects were arrested in the combing operations and cases were registered against them.
He said that 1002 people were interrogated during the operation in Lahore, while three suspects were arrested from Dera Ghazi Khan, one suspect was arrested during the combing operation in Rawalpindi. Police have started more interrogation of these suspects. CTD said that every possible effort would be made to bring the anti-state elements under the law, he further added that citizens should keep a close eye on the suspects.
