The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Hyderabad arrested a wanted terrorist during an intelligence-based operation in Sehrish Nagar area. According to a CTD spokesperson, the arrested terror suspect who is identified as Somar Mallah, was allegedly collecting financial support for the banned Sindhudesh Revolutionary Army (SRA). The spokesperson said the funds collected by the suspect were intended to be used for terrorist activities planned during the month of August.

During the operation, the CTD personnel recovered a weapon, hand grenade and other stolen items from the suspect's possession. Moreover, the suspect had also opened fire on a CTD police party within the jurisdiction of Hatri police station on July 30. The suspect's accomplice managed to escape during the operation, and a search operation has been launched to arrest him. The CTD said local police also assisted in carrying out the operation.
