CTD arrests seven terrorists including TTP operatives in IB operations in PunjabBreaking

The Counter-Terrorism Department on Saturday arrested seven terrorists including three key operatives of the proscribed Tehreek-Taliban Pakistan in different intelligence-based operations carried out in various cities of Punjab. According to the Punjab CTD spokesperson, the IB operations were conducted in Lahore, Kasur, Sargodha, Bahawalpur, and Bahawalnagar in which seven militants were captured. Among them were also included three important activists of the banned outfit TTP, he added. The spokesman said that the CTD police recovered explosive material, one IED (bomb), two safety fuses, Prima cards, mobile phones, and cash from the possession of the militants. The arrested terrorists were identified as Khan Zaman, Shah Muhammad, Abid, Khalid Mehmood, Azeem, Ahmad Shah, and Noor. According to the spokesperson, the militants were planning an attack on the law enforcement institutions.
