Cracks are appearing in the potential alliance between Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), as PTI reportedly reconsiders its affiliation with the religious party. According to sources within PTI, the party has put a halt on independent candidates joining forces with KP Jamaat-e-Islami. This development comes as the PTI candidate in K, likely Ali Amin Gandapur, appears poised to form the provincial government independently. Further reports suggest that PTI was surprised by JI's demands, which included extending the alliance to the federal level. This condition seems to have clashed with PTI's earlier plans to partner with Majlis Wahdat-i-Muslimeen (MWM) at the center and Punjab. PTI leadership, faced with this unexpected hurdle, is currently seeking counsel from the party's founding members before making a final decision.
