An anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Islamabad on Monday granted to the police a seven-day physical remand of PTI International Media Coordinator Ahmad Waqas Janjua, who had been picked up from his home by some plainclothes men at 4:00 AM on July 20, reported. ATC judge Tahir Abbas Sipra heard the case. On the other hand, as per the FIR registered on the complaint of Janjua’s wife at Humak Police Station of Islamabad, 20 armed men, with their faces covered with masks, kidnapped her husband from DHA-II along with his laptop, a cellphone and other devices. The woman requested the police to recover her husband. Earlier on Monday, the Islamabad High Court (IHC) took up for hearing the petition filed by the PTI coordinator’s wife for the recovery of her husband.
