A court in Islamabad on Wednesday disposed of two cases registered against former prime minister and PTI founder Imran Khan in connection with the Haqeeqi Azadi March in 2022.Judicial Magistrate Azhar Nadeem heard the cases.
Sardar Muhammad Masroof Advocate, who represented the former prime minister, told the court that both these cases dated back to 2022 and several suspects in these cases had already been acquitted.
He further said that the acquittal petition filed by his client had been pending in court for the last two years. “Moreover, my client is not being produced in the court either.” Masroof requested the court to adjourn the hearing until tomorrow.
“I will give arguments for the acquittal of the PTI founder tomorrow.” He went on to say that the court could also dispose of these cases.Following that, the court disposed of both these cases. Two cases had been registered against Imran Khat at Kohsar Police Station of the federal capital.
