Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has said a conference will soon be organized to enhance cooperation with Gulf countries in combating drugs.During a visit to Anti-Narcotics Force, he said the heads of the Anti-Narcotics Forces from Gulf countries will be invited to the conference. Mohsin Naqvi emphasized this conference is crucial for developing a joint action plan in the fight against drugs.
The Interior Minister said crackdown will continue with full force to protect the new generation from the scourge of drugs. He instructed that the awareness campaign against drug use should continue in educational institutions. Mohsin Naqvi emphasized individuals involved in the heinous drug trade do not deserve any leniency. He commended the seizure of drugs worth nearly ten billion dollars in over twenty one hundred operations last year.
