Reacting to the notice of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, the police on Tuesday arrested a couple involved in murder of a teenage housemaid. District Police Officer (DPO) Sargodha, Faisal Kamran addressing a press conference here said that the couple used to torture 12-year-old housemaid Ayesha. He said that due to two-month continuous torture, the teenager died due to failure of kidneys. The DPO said that police had arrested Jawad Bhatti and his wife besides recovering the murder weapon and detainees have admitted their crime. It should be mentioned here that parents of Ayesha had informed police about the incident on March 01, and Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz taking notice had directed to arrest the culprits. The heirs of killed housemaid have thanked Chief Minister Maryam and DPO for arrested the culprits.
