Punjab Chief Minister, Maryam Nawaz, has directed departments concerned to prepare a plan for construction of labor colonies across the province. Presiding over a meeting in Lahore today, she also approved a number of welfare projects for laborers. She approved the establishment of a 200-bed Rehmatul-Lil-Alameen Cardiology Centre on Lahore Defense Road along with a 50-bed Social Security Hospital in Rahim Yar Khan. The Chief Minister directed amendments in labor laws and ordered the implementation of a minimum monthly wage of 37,000 rupees.
