Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has imposed ban on use of police flashlights on private vehicles. Chairing a meeting held here on Wednesday to review the security situation, the chief minister directed that no private vehicle other than police patrolling vehicles can use flashlights onwards. Murad Ali Shah said that private vehicles with security guards carrying weapons were seen moving on roads and directed IG Police to end the display of weapons. The chief minister also approved Rs2 billion for construction of 708 police stations across the province. The approved funds must be transparently spend on construction of police stations and best structuring of the police station buildings must be ensured, he directed.  CM Murad Shah also directed IG Sindh to fill all vacant vacancies and ensure recruitments in police on merit.
