Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has directed strict monitoring in Murree in view of possible landslides after the hill station received heavy rain with thick fog darkening the mountains. After Maryam Nawaz's instructions on Saturday, relief operations are underway in the landslide-affected areas near Murree’s Jhikka Gali. Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has sought a report on the affected area of Jhikka Gali. She also appreciated the administration, Rescue 1122 officers and personnel for the timely and safe relief operations.
She said good governance is when the government stands by people in every difficult time. Meanwhile, rain has lashed Murree with dense fog engulfing urban areas. Weather became pleasant after rain and cool breeze added to the chill for tourists visiting the hill station. District administration directed that tourists should travel with caution because visibility may be affected. District administration has directed citizens and tourists to be cautious.
