Caretaker IT minister envisions $5 billion in exports through e-employmentBreaking

Dr. Umar Saif, the Caretaker Federal Minister for Information Technology, highlighted the potential of e-employment, emphasizing that freelancers, including IT experts, could earn up to $30 per day. This initiative, he predicts, could contribute significantly, resulting in $5 billion in exports. In a statement at the Tech Destination Pakistan event held at the Convention Center in Islamabad on Saturday. Dr. Umar Saif underscored the pivotal role of the IT sector in driving economic development, projecting a five-year outlook that foresees a substantial increase in exports, fueled by the active participation of IT professionals. Pakistan, he noted, currently holds the second position globally in the online workforce arena, with plans underway to establish dedicated e-employment centers.
