The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has issued notification of PTI Chairman Imran Khan s win on seven National Assembly seats during by-elections on vacant seats. On October 16, 2022, the PTI chief had secured win on seven NA seats and the PTI had swept by-elections while securing six NA seats and two Punjab Assembly seats. Imran Khan won the NA seats from Mardan, Charsadda and Peshawar in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Faisalabad and Nankana Sahib in Punjab and the Korangi district of Karachi in Sindh. The electoral watchdog had taken notice of Imran Khan’s failure to submit the details of the election expenses. A 5-member commission chaired by the Chief Election Commissioner reserved the verdict on December 20, 2022.
