Six people, including a bus hostess, were killed and 14 others wounded in two road accidents on M4 Motorway in Khanewal and Talagang. The first accident took place near Makhdoom Interchange on Motorway M4, where a bus collided with a trailer when its driver fell asleep while driving, killing the bus hostess on the spot and injuring 14 other passengers.

Rescue teams reached the spot and shifted the dead and injured to District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital, Khanewal with the help of FWO officials. According to rescue sources, four of the injured were in critical condition. Two motorcyclists were killed when their speedy motorcycle hit a parked tanker in Talagang. The accident occurred near Qazi Kot Talagang.

The dead motorcyclists were later identified as Bilal, 27, and Faisal, 30. The Rescue 1122 team reached the site and retrieved the dead bodies under the tanker swiftly. Rescue teams, after completion of the legal procedure, shifted the dead bodies to RHC Kot Qazi. Rescue 1122 team appealed to the citizens to follow traffic rules and adopt precautionary measures while travelling.
