The Punjab cabinet has approved the change in the Service and Promotion Rules of the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD). Punjab Inspector General of Police (IGP) Dr Usman Anwar said that the best service and promotion structure had been created for the CTD corporals. “The CTD corporals will now be promoted as under officers in grade 14 instead of grade 12,” Dr Usman Anwar said. “After amendments to the rules, a corporal recruited in grade 11 will be able to progress up to grade 19,” he added.
