The Motorway Police foiled a bid to smuggle cache of arms and ammunition at M-5 Motorway on Thursday. SP Motorway Nadeem Ashraf Warriach said that they stopped a suspected vehicle near Uch Sharif Interchange. He said that during search of vehicle, cache of arms including aircraft, G3, Kalashnikovs, rifles, pistols and thousands of rounds of different bores were recovered from secret cavities of the vehicle. The recovered weapons and ammunition were being smuggled from Peshawar to Sindh. The police impounded the vehicle along with recovered arms, ammunition and arrested the smugglers.
