Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan arrived in Skardu to launch the party’s election campaign, where he was warmly welcomed by party leaders and workers. Barrister Gohar will participate in various election activities across Gilgit-Baltistan. He is scheduled to campaign in Skardu today and visit other areas in the coming days.

In a statement posted on X (formerly Twitter), Barrister Gohar said, “I have arrived in Skardu, Gilgit-Baltistan, to take part in the election campaign. This election is not merely a contest for power; it is a decisive moment for the future of democracy in Gilgit-Baltistan.”He said that PTI is taking Imran Khan’s message to every city, town, and village, while engaging with citizens from all walks of life.

“We are presenting our vision for economic development, good governance, and social justice,” he added.Barrister Gohar appealed to PTI workers, supporters, and all citizens who believe in a better future to support the party in what he described as a democratic struggle. He alleged that PTI had faced obstacles during the campaign, including the loss of its election symbol and restrictions on party leaders.

“Despite these challenges, and despite not being provided a level playing field, we remain committed to the democratic process. Others are campaigning without restrictions, while our activities face hurdles. Nevertheless, we leave the final decision to the people,” he said.The PTI chairman urged supporters to conduct the election campaign with dignity, respect, and unwavering determination in the public interest. “We have faith in the people. We seek their mandate on the basis of our vision, performance, and commitment to public service,” he said.
