Punjab Governor Baligh-ur-Rehman has stressed the need to promote joint business ventures between Pakistan and Sri-Lanka. He was talking to Honorary Consul General of Sri Lanka in Pakistan, Yaseen Joya at Governor's House in Lahore on Monday. The delegation of Sri Lanka-Lahore Business Council was also present during the meeting. The Governor lauded the help extended by Sri Lanka-Lahore Business Council and the Giving Sight Foundation Sri Lanka for provision of human eye cornea to Pakistani citizens.
The Sri Lankan delegation proposed to sign an Memorandum of Understanding with hospital of South Punjab area for provision of human eye cornea. Yaseen Joya said that the aim of this proposed MoU is giving access to local people to facilities of cornea transplant. The Punjab Governor appreciated the proposal and assured his support for its implementation.
