Punjab Information Minister Azma Bukhari has criticized the inmate in Adiala Jail, referring to former Prime Minister Imran Khan, for attempting to gain power through protests and sit-ins. In her statement, Azma Bukhari declared that anyone violating the law would face strict action. She emphasized that no one would be allowed to disrupt the lives of citizens under the guise of protests and sit-ins. She added that the party, which has been on the streets since 2014, should take a break and rest at home. The inmate's mission to reach power through sit-ins no longer has the previous level of facilitation or financial backers.
Bukhari stated that PTI's political history revolves around streets and public squares, with an agenda of creating chaos and disorder in Pakistan. She mocked the party for only being able to sustain short hunger strikes and suggested they stick to specific times. She also noted that PTI still has Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for their protests, pointing out that many questions remain about the recent tragic incident in Bannu. She criticized the provincial government's spending on protests rather than development over the past 11 years, contrasting it with Maryam Nawaz's efforts to provide affordable food and free medicine to the people of Punjab.
