The Lahore High court while hearing a petition against the alleged fake video of Punjab's Information Minister Azma Bukhari, has issued notice to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Director General seeking response from him. Chief Justice Lahore High court Alia Neelum was hearing the petition filed by Azma Bukhari. Chief Justice said that the petitioner should have removed the pictures attached with the petition. The request would have been fixed for hearing today had the petitioner removed the picture, she said. Ms. Alia Neelum removed the objection of the registrar office, and fixed the case for hearing tomorrow. Azma Bukhari against her alleged fake video filed a petition making the Federal Government, FIA, and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) social media activist Falak Javed Khan the respondents.
Petitioner requested the court to take legal action against Falak Javed and others for sharing a fake video on X, which was shared by hundreds of people. Azma Bukhari talks to the media Azma Bukhari upon reaching the Lahore High Court said that I have to visit courts in the early morning to get justice, whereas the culprits are roaming free. Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has called on the FIA tomorrow (Thursday), let's see what response they submit, she said. On being asked about the culprits behind the controversy, Azma told that it is no more her responsibility to point out the culprits, in fact this is now the responsibility of institutions and the FIA to figure out the ones involved.
