Federal Minister for Petroleum, Musadik Malik has said that Azerbaijan is keen to make an investment of $2 to $3 billion in Pakistan. In an interview with a private news channel, the Azerbaijan’s focuses on mineral sector, including oil and gas in its investment. Musadik Malik stated that Azerbaijan was considering the oil and gas exploration sector besides expanding investments in the LNG sector. He said that the prime minister was eager to increase economic cooperation with friendly countries and the government prioritizes investment over aid from friendly nations. The Minister Petroleum informed that Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev’s visit to Pakistan was very much expected to boost trade relations. Discussions will include increasing textile exports and promoting the IT sector between the two countries, he said. Malik expressed optimism that these initiatives will significantly enhance economic ties between the two countries.
