The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) recovered over 2400 kilogram drugs and arrested five drug peddlers in five operations conducted in various cities of country. A spokesman of ANF Headquarters said on Thursday that during an operation at Allama Iqbal Airport, 85 Crystal Myth (Ice) filled capsules were recovered from a passenger’s stomach. The accused was leaving for Saudi Arabia by flight number PA-470. At Faisalabad Airport, a passenger leaving for Bahrain through Flight No PA-079 was arrested after recovery of 2 kg Ice. During raid on a house in Qila Abdullah, 2000 kg hashish was recovered while during search of a suspected vehicle near Sial Mor interchange on the highway, 289.2 kg hashish was recovered. Three suspects were held with a total of 1 kg opium during operations at University Road Peshawar. Separate cases under the Anti-Narcotics Act were registered against the arrested accused while further investigations were under process.
