The Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) seized 118 kilogram narcotics and arrested four drug peddlers in crackdowns conducted in various cities of the country. The spokesman of ANF said that 86 cocaine filled capsules with total one kilogram cocaine recovered from stomach of a foreign national woman at Jinnah International Airport Karachi. The woman arrived Karachi from Brandy, an Eastern African country. During a raid in Shikarpur Sukkur, a drug peddler hailing from Qambar Shahdadkot was arrested with seven kilogram hashish.
The ANF during search of a suspected vehicle at Peshawar’s Ring road recovered 24 kilogram hashish and 18 kilogram opium from secret cavities of the vehicle. A drug peddler hailing from Narowal who was attempting to smuggle drugs to Punjab was also arrested.
Owner of a private courier company was apprehended after recovery of 3.613kg methamphetamine (Ice) from a parcel present in his car near Wapda Town Lahore. The recovered drug was tactfully concealed PRC pipes placed in the parcel and detainee in preliminary investigation revealed of facilitating drug pusher abroad.The ANF on a tip off recovered 65 kilogram hashish hidden in unpopulated area of Gwadar for smuggling. The recovered narcotics were confiscated and after registering separate cases under Drugs Act, investigations were kicked off.
