The Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) foiled various narcotics smuggling bids and arrested three drug pushers in countrywide operations on Monday. The ANF during a raid on office of private courier company in Sector F-11 (Markaz) of Islamabad confiscated carpets with 11.3 kilogram methamphetamine (Ice) absorbed in it and scheduled to be exported to New Zealand and Hong Kong. The Airport Security Force (ASF) and ASF during a joint action at Islamabad International Airport, offloaded and arrested a Bahrain bound passenger hailing from district Buner of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and recovered 796 gram heroin from his possession.
A Saudi Arabia bound passenger with 91 heroin filled capsules was arrested at Multan airport while another Sharjah bound passenger with four hashish filled capsules in stomach was held at Bacha Khan Airport Peshawar. The ANF during an operation near Sheikhupura Interchange recovered 16.8 kilogram hashish from a vehicle and arrested a drug peddler. Separate cases in incidents were registered under Drug Act and investigations were underway.
