ANF arrests five suspects, seizes 31.7 kg of hashish Breaking

The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) on Tuesday arrested five suspects and seized 31.7 kilograms of hashish worth more than Rs 2.3 million in six operations conducted across the country, including areas around educational institutions.  According to an ANF spokesman, the operations targeted drug trafficking networks in multiple cities as part of an ongoing crackdown. 

In an operation near a college in Haripur, 300 grams of hashish were recovered from a suspect, who later confessed to supplying drugs to students of educational institutions, the spokesman said. 

In Karachi, 15 kilograms of hashish were seized from an individual in Sohrab Goth, while a separate raid near Jungal Goth on the Super Highway led to the recovery of 8 kilograms of hashish and 111 bottles of liquor. 

In Rawalpindi, ANF recovered 3.6 kilograms of hashish from a vehicle in Pirwadahi and arrested a suspect. In another operation near the Pirwadahi bus terminal, 2.4 kilograms of hashish were seized from an individual. 

Meanwhile, in an inter-provincial operation at Sheikhupura Toll Plaza, 2.4 kilograms of hashish were recovered from an accused.  Cases have been registered against the arrested suspects under the Control of Narcotic Substances Act, 1997, and further investigations were underway, the spokesman added.
