Due to leakage of ammonia gas in a factory at fisheries, at least 29 including women and children fell unconscious and transported them to hospitals. Rescue sources said that leaked pipe of a private seafood company at fisheries, within the West Wharf area caused an emission of ammonia gas. At least 29 persons including women and children residing in neighbourhood fell unconscious, it added. Among affectees, 14 women were taken to the Dr Ruth Pfau Civil Hospital Karachi and 15 other women and children to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for treatment.
