Akhuwat Foundation distributes Rs250 bln interest-free loans with 100% recovery rateBreaking

Chairman of Akhuwat Foundation, Dr. Amjad Saqib has said that the organization has distributed interest-free loans amounting to Rs. 250 billion among four million families, with a commendable recovery rate of 100%. Speaking at a fundraising event in Faisalabad on Wednesday, Dr. Amjad Saqib emphasized the importance of providing support to the underprivileged in accordance with Islamic principles. He highlighted the need for wealthier individuals to assist those in need, enabling them to sustain themselves and their families through dignified means such as small businesses. Echoing Dr. Saqib's sentiments, President Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FCCI) Dr. Khurram Tariq lauded the active participation of the business and industrial community in charitable endeavors.

He acknowledged the individual efforts of chamber members in operating free educational institutions and dispensaries, underscoring the importance of organizing these initiatives for greater impact. Dr. Tariq expressed optimism about the collaboration between the Faisalabad Chamber and Akhuwat Foundation in tackling poverty and unemployment. In recognition of Dr. Saqib's exemplary contributions, he, along with Vice President Muhammad Aslam Bhalli, presented the prestigious badge of honor from the FCCI. The event served as a testament to the unwavering commitment of both organizations towards alleviating poverty and fostering socio-economic development in the country.
